I recently bought an audiovox portable dvd player. Whenever I insert a dvd it says loading on the screen but it nerver loads. It used to work before but I don’t know why it isn’t now. I think my brother might have touched the lens by accident. Any ideas to make it work again?????

see if dvd’s are dirty or scratched. Audiovox has problems playing home-burned DVD’s also

I accidently touched the lens on mine once. It wouldn’t play either. I just put some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and wiped it. It worked much better after that. I was very scared to try it, because someone told me not to, but I figured it was already screwed, so I gave it a try. If you do try this, make sure to blow on it, to try and remove any lint or fuzz.

I like HeavenLee’s advice. Put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and clean the lens. Let it dry good and give it a try.
If this fixes it, get a DVD Drive cleaning disk and run that.
Also, you may have a disk format comatibility problem. If it’s a home-burned DVD, there’s a chance it may not be compatible with your player.
