I am looking into buying 2 Sony DVP-FX820 portable DVD players so my twins can watch the same DVD/movie, on their own screen for now, without us having to buy two copies of a lot of movies. But when they get older, they won’t want to watch the same movie, hence the two separate players.

Does anyone know if I can connect these two separate players and have one play a DVD and output to the other so the video plays on both?

Since my TV (Sony KDL 40S2000) should support HD content,
I was wondering is there a way of playing downloaded HD videos without having to buy a new HD DVD player.

There’s an HDMI socket in the TV, I also have it connected to my Philips DVD player, however the DVD will not support HD files (divX 720i or so).

I thought of connecting my laptop, but it has no digital output.

Is there any way of to bypass that ? or do you happen to know if there are on the market any portable hard-drives that can output digital video and support HD ?

I rather find the cheapest solution until the price markets of HD DVD players will be cheap enought.

There is a phones jack, an audio jack, a video and coaxial jack; all 1/4″. Is there an adapter I can buy that will go into the tape player for my car stereo? I use to have one for my old Sony Walkman so I could play CD’s through my tape player before I had a CD player in the car.
